These Mint Oreo cookie pops are the perfect St. Patricks Day treat, but can be customized with any color or Oreo flavour to match every occasion!
Now that Valentine’s Day is over, I’m sure your Pinterest and Facebook feeds are filled with everything green and rainbows – right?! I’m not big on holiday jumping (that’s what I call this obsession with moving from one holiday right to the next), but I did create these cookie pops and realized they would be a perfect treat for St. Patrick’s Day. You can make them in pretty much any color combo though for any holiday or any regular holiday.
Mint Oreo Cookie Pops – What You’ll Need
To make this delicious St. Patrick Day treat, here’s what you need:
- Mint oreo cookies
- 4 oz cream cheese
- candy melts or chocolate chips
- sprinkles
- lollipop sticks
Mint Oreo Cookie Pops – How to Make Them
Crush the cookies in a food processor (or put the cookies in a bag and whack them with a rolling pin, which is especially helpful if you’re stressed). Don’t crumble them too much though – I like the chunks of green from the icing still visible. Once crushed, mix together with the the cream cheese.
Roll into small balls and freeze for one hour until firm.
Melt the chocolate and/or candy melts in containers that are deep enough to dip.
Add a stick to each cookie ball, and dip the cookie pop into the chocolate. Add the sprinkles before the chocolate hardens.
That’s all there is to it! They’re perfect for those of you that love mint and chocolate – like my daughter, who went absolutely nuts over them!
