Well, I have finally oohed and awed over the photos (taken by Brittany at BLG Photography) and here are some details from the big Monster bash that I first told you about back in April.
As for the cake, it was the first time I ever tried using fondant, and except for a little mishap with the mouth (I used way too much corn syrup trying to glue the pieces on), it didn’t turn out too bad. It’s a family recipe lemon cake on top and chocolate pudding cake on the bottom – maybe I will share the recipes with you someday if you are good – let’s just say almost everyone asked for the recipe, it’s that good. And I don’t like cake.

Sarah, this party looks AWESOME and full of fun! I love all the little crafty details {a Silhouette is #1 on my crafty wish list}, especially the googly eyes frames–so clever–and the rainbow number pinata! Oh, and you could have fooled me that you’d never worked with fondant before {I haven’t been brave enough to try it yet.} You rock! 🙂 –Lisa Frank {via Pinterest}

You are amazing! I love how this turned out! Monsters Inc is one of my little guy’s FAVORITE movies. I think we’ve watched it close to 1000 times…lol Where do you have your GIMP stuff printed? I want to use your tutorials to work on my son’s birthday stuff!

Thanks Jill! I just print my stuff at home on my inkjet printer. I just have a basic all in one printer – I put my settings to presentation/best quality printing and print on cardstock.
