Hi friends! Today I’m showing you how to create this cute Washi Tape Phone Case, that you can totally personalize yourself. It’s so much fun, and really is super easy.
Let’s get started, shall we?
If you want to make your own Washi Tape Phone Case, all you need is a clear case that fits your phone (I found mine at the dollar store), and washi tape. A craft knife will also be helpful to cut out the hole for the camera.
Start by laying your washi tape on the blank side of the little cardboard insert that came with your case. (If your case didn’t have one, simply trace the case onto a piece of cardboard and cut it out.) I created a diagonal pattern, and used green and blue washi tape.
After, I trimmed around the piece of cardboard. Then, I laid it in my case and traced where the camera hole needed to be, which I cut out with a craft knife.
Now, I know some of you are wondering why I didn’t just put the washi tape directly on the outside of the case. Well, here’s the reason – washi tape isn’t the stickiest thing in the world, and I knew it would eventually start to peel. I don’t know about you, but when something starts to peel, it might as well be begging me to pull it off. By putting the washi tape on an insert inside the phone case, I bypass this issue – and make it super quick and easy to change up!
I decided it needed just a little bling, so I added my name in glitter scrapbooking stickers.
Now, how’s that for a fun and easy project?!
