Last week, my kids went to the Craft Club at Michaels and came home with these cute little snowman ornaments – they were clear bulbs with a little glitter inside. We decided to take the idea and put our own little twist on it. The girls loved them so much that they decided to create them as their annual ornament gift for their grandparents and great grandparents.
These snowmen ornaments are so simple that even your kids can make them! My 4 year old and 9 year old had so much fun making them. The supply and tool list is pretty simple too!
Here’s what you need:
- clear ornament bulbs
- filler (small styrofoam balls, glitter, tinsel, etc)
- vinyl, orange and black (mine was black glitter)
- hole punch, mini and regular (I love the Fiskars brand ones!)
- pipe cleaners
- pom poms
Place filler inside the clear bulbs. I shook some glitter in with the vase filler to give it a little sparkle.
Cut the pipe cleaners in half, and wind two colors together. Pick two coordinating pom poms and glue the pipe cleaners and pom poms onto the ornament.
Use the hole punches to punches two large circles for the holes and smaller circles for the mouth. Cut a small corner off the orange vinyl to make a carrot shaped nose.
Once the vinyl is added to the snowman, you are finished! Aren’t they adorable? They are so cute and adorable, and the kids can’t wait to give them out to the family!

What glue did you use? How did you apply the vinyl? Thanks cute craft!
Sarah says
I used hot glue ad just applied the vinyl by hand. Hope that helps!

Psst, you said you used the hole punches to cut the ‘holes’…I’m pretty sure you meant eyes.
They are super cute!!

Haha, I did! Thank you for noticing that!
