Cricut Storage Totes: How do They Measure Up?
If you are a crafter, you know what a problem it can be to find adequate storage for all of your supplies. If you’re a social crafter, you know transportation can be an even bigger problem. That’s why I was so excited when the new line of Cricut storage totes was launched. These babies are amazing, and hold so much. I was actually able to empty out three shelves in my stacked full cupboards and fit it all into just one rolling tote.
But before I get ahead of myself, let me introduce you to these beautiful bags, shall I? There are actually three bags in the set, and they all come in a coordinating tweed fabric.
Bag Number 1: Rolling Craft Storage Bag
The first is the workhorse of the set. It is engineered to provide both beauty and functionality. Even the wheels are multi directional and turn with ease (which is great for when its completely loaded up and weighing a ton). There isn’t an ounce of wasted space, and there are pockets everywhere.
I placed rolls of vinyl, iron on, faux leather, and other cutting materials around the side pockets. The two small see through pockets were used to hold iron on and vinyl scraps. I also stashed my Cuttlebug in the big section and placed the Cuttlebug folders and mats in the front pocket (which can also be used as a laptop sleeve).
On the side, there are zippered pockets which I used for my pen set. (I store my loose Cricut markers in a mug that I use as a pen holder on my desk, because I use them for so much more than my Cricut.)
Bag Number 2: Cricut Machine Tote Bag
The second bag is the one that actually holds your Cricut machine. It slips on the extendable handle of the first machine to give the ability to pull both. If you dont use the wheeled bag, it also comes with a shoulder strap for easier carrying.
The entire bag is lined with foam to make sure your precious machine stays safe, wherever you may take it. There is a spot below the machine to store any cords you may need to take along.
There are also pockets on the side, which is where I stored my tool set.
Bag Number 3: Laptop Shoulder Bag
The third bag is probably my favorite. I had been looking for a good laptop bag for a long time, but I couldn’t find a bag that carried more than a laptop (unless it was a backpack). I’m a teacher as well, and I needed a bag that could carry my laptop, my notepads, books, lesson plans, etc, but I wanted something sleeker than a backpack. This bag had room for it all so it won me over in no time.
Also, the back has a sleeve which allows you to attach it to the rolling handle as well. This makes it easy to transport everything you need to craft away from home.
And its on for $29.99 right now, which is a hard price to beat for such a stylish laptop bag!
Overall, I think Cricut nailed it on the head with this line of bags – they combined aesthetics with functionality and knocked it out of the park. I think if you do any sort of crafting on the go, or if you dont have a dedicated craft space, these bags will be a must have.
What do you think? Have you tried out these bags? If not, what is your favorite way to store your Cricut supplies?
